What should I do when my cabinets arrive?

Please inspect your shipment immediately. You are responsible for confirming the total box count against the Bill of Lading (BOL). We strongly recommend taking clear photos of the pallet while it is still inside the truck.

What if the boxes look damaged?

Do NOT refuse the shipment. Even if you see visible damage, please accept the delivery. Simply note the specific damage on the driver’s BOL before they leave. Refusing a shipment significantly delays the replacement process.

How long do I have to report issues?

Visible Damage/Missing Items: Must be reported within 5 business days.

  • Concealed Damage (inside the box): Must be reported within 30 days.
What documentation is needed for a claim?

Photographic evidence is required. Please provide clear photos of the damaged items and the original packaging. If you sign the BOL as "clear" (no damages noted), any future claims for visible damage will be handled at our sole discretion.

Missing Items & Fulfillment

What if a cabinet is missing?

If your box count doesn't match the BOL, note the missing items on the paperwork immediately. Report the shortage to us within 5 business days. We may initiate a "carrier trace" to locate missing pieces, which is subject to the shipping company’s timeline.

What if I already started assembling the cabinets?

Claims cannot be honored for cabinets that have already been partially or fully assembled. Please inspect all parts before beginning installation. Assembly constitutes "acceptance" of the product's condition.

Are minor scratches or unfinished backs considered defects?

In the cabinetry industry, non-visible parts (like the backs of cabinets, undersides, or interiors of toe kicks) may not have a furniture-grade finish. These are considered standard and not manufacturing defects.

Returns & Replacements

Can I return my order if I change my mind?

Yes, provided the items are in their original, unopened packaging. We offer a 30-day return window from the date of receipt.

  • Note: We cannot accept returns on assembled, modified, or installed products.
Which items are non-returnable?

To keep our prices wholesale, all sales of accessories, toe kicks, fillers, moldings, panels, sample doors and trim are final and non-refundable.

Are there fees for returns?

A 25% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns. Additionally, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs. We recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance.

How do I start a return?

What if an item is out of stock for a long time?
Will you cover my contractor’s "waiting fees"?

No. We are not responsible for any back charges, labor costs, or penalties from independent contractors due to shipping

Should I schedule my installer now?

No. We strongly recommend scheduling professional installers and countertop templating ONLY AFTER you have received, unboxed, and inspected your entire order.

Are delivery dates guaranteed?

Lead times and arrival dates are estimates provided by carriers and manufacturers. While we work to get your order to you as fast as possible, Buy Wholesale Cabinets is not responsible for project delays.
